Plain-English terms for working with us. Your written quote is the final word on scope and price, and these terms apply alongside it.
Our services
We provide book writing, editing, design, formatting, publishing support and marketing services as described on this website and in your written quote. A quote becomes an agreement when you accept it in writing, including by email, and pay any deposit it asks for.
Quotes and changes
Each quote states what is included, the number of revision rounds, the timeline and the price. If you ask for work outside that scope, we will send a revised quote and will not start the extra work until you approve it.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and milestone payments, are set out in your quote. Work may be paused if a payment is overdue. Prices are shown in US dollars unless the quote says otherwise, and you are responsible for any taxes or bank fees that apply on your side.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide material and feedback promptly, and to give us accurate information. You confirm that you own or have the right to use everything you send us, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law. Delays in feedback can move delivery dates.
Ownership of your work
You keep ownership of your manuscript and your ideas. When final payment is received, you own the final work we create for you, including ghostwritten text, covers and formatted files, except for third-party items such as stock images and fonts, which are licensed for the uses described in your quote. We do not take any share of your royalties or sales.
Unless you ask us not to, or an NDA says otherwise, we may show finished covers and designs in our portfolio. We never display or discuss ghostwriting projects.
Confidentiality
We treat your manuscript and project details as confidential. We will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request.
Third-party platforms
We help you publish through platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Kobo and Audible. These platforms set their own rules, fees and approval decisions, which we cannot control. Store accounts are created in your name, and you are responsible for keeping your login details safe.
No guarantees of sales
We do our work with care, but we cannot promise sales, rankings, reviews, awards or any particular result. Book sales depend on many things outside our control.
Delivery and revisions
We will send work for your review as set out in your quote. Revision rounds are included as stated. If you have not responded within 30 days of a delivery, we may treat the stage as accepted and invoice any amount due for it.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected with our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Cancelling a project
You can cancel at any time by writing to us. Refunds for cancelled work are covered by our refund policy. We may stop work if you breach these terms or if the material is unlawful or abusive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our business is registered. Any dispute will first be discussed in good faith, and if it cannot be resolved, will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction.
