Privacy policy
We collect only what we need to reply to you and do the work you ask for. This page explains what that is and what we do with it.
Who we are
This website is run by The Universal Publishing ("we", "us"). You can reach us at info@theuniversalpublishing.com or on +1 (755) 902-9769.
What we collect
When you fill in our contact or quote form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in and the message you write. We also record the page you sent the form from, the time and your IP address, which helps us prevent spam.
If you hire us we will also receive your manuscript and any material you send us to do the work.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To deliver the services you hire us for.
- To keep records of our work and meet legal obligations.
- To protect the website from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your manuscript for anything except your project.
Cookies and third parties
Our site uses a small session cookie to carry a form confirmation from one page to the next. We do not currently run advertising cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this page.
To load fonts, icons and page scripts, your browser may connect to Google Fonts and jsDelivr. These providers receive your IP address as part of the request. If you message us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
Who we share it with
We share information only with people who need it to do the work, such as editors, designers, narrators and platform support, and they are bound to keep it confidential. We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Project files are kept for the length of the project and a reasonable period afterwards so we can handle revisions, then deleted on request.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, such as objecting to certain processing. Email info@theuniversalpublishing.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
